Each eyelet consists of a single piece that forms its finished shape during the installation process. When fitted, the central tube of the eyelet folds around the edge of the material, securing it in place.
To install:
- Punch a hole that matches the diameter of the eyelet tube-ensure a snug fit with no looseness.
- Insert the eyelet from the front side of the leather or fabric.
- Place the front face of the eyelet downward onto the fitting tool base.
- Insert the upright punch into the central tube of the eyelet.
- Strike with a hammer.
- The fitting tool's shape will curl the tube over the reverse side of the material, locking it in place.
- This process results in a strong, clean finish without the need for separate washers or components.
