Important Information
  • Beesputty polymer sculpting clay, developed by German sculptor Stefan Niehues-Ellermann following many years of professional experience creating prototype models for the toy industry. It was designed to combine the advantages of polymer clays with the feel and plasticity of natural wax.
  • Its slightly waxy and self-adhesive texture allows direct application onto wire armatures, as well as onto baked or unbaked Beesputty. It provides excellent control during sculpting without unintentionally shifting the whole or part of the sculpture’s mass.
  • Ideal for miniature sculpting, figures, miniatures, character design, prototype models, collectible figures and highly detailed work. It allows precise carving, layered application and the creation of very fine details.
  • Once baked, it develops high mechanical strength and can be carved, sanded, smoothed, polished, drilled and painted with acrylic colours, airbrush paints and other painting techniques. Its surface can be polished to achieve a wax-like appearance.
  • Contains no cheap fillers that could negatively affect sculpting quality. Its formulation is designed to offer clean tool cuts, smooth surface shaping and excellent detail stability.
  • Directions for use: Condition a small amount of clay with your hands until pliable and apply it onto an armature or an existing layer of Beesputty. For smoothing and surface refinement, a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or petroleum jelly may be used. Fixing the armature onto a cork or wooden base is recommended for greater stability while working.
  • Baking: Bake in a conventional household oven at 140°C for up to 30 minutes. Allow the piece to cool slowly inside the closed oven to reduce the risk of cracking. It can be baked repeatedly to add new layers and details. Do not bake in a microwave oven.
