Essdee Premium Block Printing Inks are high-quality water-based inks specially formulated for relief and lino printing. Their specialist formulation provides enhanced tack and excellent transfer from the printing block to the paper, producing smooth, clean and vibrant prints.
They are suitable for printing blocks made from linoleum, soft and flexible carving materials, printing foam and other relief printing materials. The inks roll out smoothly and offer a well-balanced working and drying time, making both inking and printing easy and controlled.

- Suitable for linoleum, Essdee SoftCut, MasterCut, PrintFoam and many other relief printing blocks.

- Non-permanent inks – dry prints are not waterproof.
- Tools, printing blocks and rollers can be easily cleaned with water while the ink is still wet.

Directions:
- Place a small amount of ink onto a smooth inking surface and work it with a roller until a thin, even layer is achieved.
- Roll the ink over the carved printing block until the raised areas are evenly coated. Place the block onto the paper and apply firm, even pressure to transfer the design.
- Allow the print to air dry naturally. Drying time depends on the amount of ink applied, the type of paper, temperature and humidity. In a warm, dry environment prints may dry in approximately 2 hours, while cooler or more humid conditions will require a longer drying time.
Note: Essdee Premium Block Printing Inks are non-permanent printmaking inks intended primarily for printing onto paper and card. For washable prints on fabric, use Essdee Fabric Block Printing Inks (Code. 5611050).
