Consistency
- Natural, organic resin in irregular gold flakes.
How to Use
- Soak the shellac flakes in pure alcohol of at least 95º degrees. After 24 hours, the shellac will have completely dissolved. Strain the mixture to remove any deposits and impurities that may have formed. The shellac is ready to use. The shellac and alcohol solution can be stored for several months if kept in a tightly closed container. It is recommended to filter before each new use.
Mixing Ratio
- 250gr shellac to 1 liter of alcohol. (100gr in 400ml alcohol).
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place in its own container, closed and away from direct light and heat. The ideal temperature is 15-20°C and humidity below 50%. It is not sensitive to cold, but can be damaged by heat.
