- MTN Water Based is a high-quality low-pressure, water-based spray paint developed for fine art, decoration, crafts and mixed-media applications. Its controlled output makes precise application and smooth, even coats easier to achieve.
- It provides excellent covering power, very low odour and a matt finish. Its lightfast pigments provide good colour durability, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
- Suitable for a wide variety of surfaces including wood, canvas, paper, metal, glass and various plastics. It can also be applied directly to expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam), as its formulation does not attack this solvent-sensitive material.
- While still wet, the paint is water-soluble and can be reworked with water or a wet brush, allowing blending, gradations and combination with other water-based acrylic techniques. Once fully dry, it becomes permanent and water-resistant.
- For best results, apply to a clean, dry surface in several thin coats rather than one heavy coat. It can be recoated with the same paint after approximately 30 minutes. Some plastic surfaces may require a suitable primer.
- Touch dry: approximately 30 minutes. Complete drying and curing: 72 hours. Dry film thickness: approximately 15–20 μm per coat. Theoretical coverage with continuous application: approximately 3 m² / 400 ml.
- Recommended application conditions: minimum ambient temperature 8°C, surface temperature 5–50°C and relative humidity up to 85%. Shake vigorously for at least 1 minute after hearing the mixing ball and, after use, turn the can upside down and spray to purge the valve.
